~Dallas brides, I need your help!!~

I am planning a trip to Dallas to do some dress shopping and spend sometimes with my Mother, two Aunts, and beautiful MOH =) Yay!! I need the dish ladies!! Tell me where to shop, eat, relax, drink, dance and stay (I love haunted hotels BTW)??? This I hope will be a very special and fun trip so the more suggestions the better!!

Haunted hotels???? You might try the historic ones ...The Melrose (nice!), I've stayed here......and the Stoneleigh...the section of town called "Uptown" is a really fun place to shop and eat....for GREAT mexican food go to a restaurant there called "Mi Cocina".

Also really nice is The Crescent Court Hotel or The Mansion...but they are very pricey!

In the same complex is Stanley Korshak where they have beautiful dresses and there's a bridal salon in the shopping area..by the fountain.......again very pricey....not sure what your budget is.... 

I don't know of any haunted hotels but definitely uptown is a great area. I also would suggest the W downtown. There is a Neiman Marcus downtown with a bridal gown section. Also, Addison is a really fun area with lots of hotels and the most restaurants (along Beltline Road) but nothing really special that you probably don't have in your hometown. For dress shopping i would suggest - 

- Stardust Celebrations (this is in Frisco, TX) - such a fun place, was on "Girl Meets Gown" or whatever that show was called. They have such fun gowns - I tried on the $17,000 one by St Pucci.

- Lulu's - owned by Stardust

- Patsy's and Warren Barron - if your budget is high! 

- Circle Bridal - in Addison - all sample gowns - you can find some really great finds there!!! I almost got a gown there, but most of their gowns start at an 8 or 10 so if you are smaller than that you may have  a hard time.

- Lasting Couture bridal - also in addison - i found my dress here but ended up getting it in kansas city so my parents could see it! 

- Mockingbird Bridal - they carry Enzoani, if you are interested in them - I was really interested in an Enzoani gown and I almost got it here. This is between Uptown and Addison, right off highway 75.

Shopping.... Northpark Mall is my favorite, but Allen Outlets is AMAZING too - Coach outlet (biggest in the country) - great for BM gifts or mom gifts, and they have tons of shoe stores if you are looking for shoes for your dress. 

Oh i forgot - GO TO SAM MOON! If it is the only thing you do when you are there!! There is one on the west side of North Dallas at 635 and I-35E, and then also one in Frisco at 121 and Preston Road. It is an accessories shop - I got my earrings, hairclip, and bridesmaid jewelry here. And probably other things that I can't even remember!! Its so cheap its ridiculous. Try not to go on a weekend, try and go on a weekday morning, its much calmer and easier to shop. The earrings were $7 and the hairclip was $5, I got so many people thinking the earrings were real pearls and diamonds that were family heirlooms or something, LOL. They have a website, www.sammoon.com if you want to see what they have but they have THOUSANDS more items than are on the website. My bridesmaids bracelets and earrings were $8 each total I think and they all loved them and didn't look cheap at all. I am going to Dallas at the end of the month for my birthday and I told my friends this is the one thing we need to do!! LOL

oh also, Allen outlets has a BCBG outlet for honeymoon or rehearsal dinner dresses, and a neiman marcus last call, and tons of other stores that I'm probably forgetting. You could spend a whole day there but you have enough to do it sounds like!! Allen is about 30 minutes north of downtown on highway 75.

If your dress budget is on the low end, Group USA at Grapevine Mills Mall (another great outlet mall in dallas) is awesome too. They also have good fancy dresses for honeymoon or rehearsal dinner. They have a website too, if you want to get a sneak peek before getting into town and plan your attack!!

Sorry for the 3 posts I keep thinking of things. I get really excited when I get to talking about Dallas shopping..... it is one of the best shopping cities in the country and i miss living there SO MUCH! 

Bars...

uptown - Barcadia is amazing, its a fun bar with arcade games. Its on Henderson I think? There are tons of fun bars in Uptown. Lemon Bar is fun also - its in a shopping area called West Village. On sunday they have an amazing brunch with unlimited Mimosa's. They have great chicken and waffles. Also, Blue Mesa (there are a few locations) has a great sunday brunch with unlimited mimosa's for $17.99 or so (can you tell I like mimosa's??)

Downtown - if you want to get really fancy, go to Ghostbar, its at the top of the W hotel. Theres a cover charge usually.

Addison - Sherlocks on Beltline and the tollway is my alltime favorite, they always have great bands and its always packed. Also Duke's on Beltline and Midway is great, if its a nice night the patio is always packed and they have good food too.
