So my husband just deployed to Afgan on October 12. Today I found out I am pregnant! I have always had this big plan on how I would tell him I was pregnant but since he is deployed this obviously changes everything! Does anyone have an fun/differnt ideas on how I could tell him this????? He is not expecting this news at all so I want it to be fun, but not so shocking he has a heart attack.

I've always envisioned sending my family who live far away--baby stuff and having them open it while I'm on the phone with them....and then having them super happy.

You could send him a little onesie with a cute little monogrammed message like "I love my daddy" or something...he'd figure it out pretty quick.  :)

My friend just went through this- the baby was a MAJOR surprise and they were not expecting him at all. Her DH deployed and she found out she was expecting three weeks later. They video chatted a lot- so she somehow set it up so her computer would record the chat. They started chatting, she asked about his day, he asked about her day....."It was good, I was busy. I went to the store, bought dog food. Then I went to the doctor; we are having a baby."

She said his reaction was PRICELESS. And they have it on recorded which makes it all so much sweeter!

If webcams aren't possible- I would send him some sort of package, but tell him that he cannot open it until he is on the phone with you. Have him call you and open it on the phone- so that you can hear his reaction- it is hard to have a pregnancy alone, so you want to be 'together' for some of it, kwim?
