Let me start by saying I really enjoyed myself, however, things did not go as planned.  My m.o.h (cousin) who is Georgia with me, was in charge of getting the bridal shower/bachlorette party together.  We (my FI, my mom, my son, and I) drove from Georgia to Detroit on Friday early afternoon, my cousin drove ahead of us leaving about 2 hours before us to get things set up. We arrived in Detroit at 1230 am (my FI drove the entire way :-) ) We sat up with my bro and sis-in-law for a little while, drinking and playing dominoes.

The next day, Saturday morning, my cousin calls my sis in law to get the decorations and games for bridal shower (nothing was ready) but my sis in law being the wonderful person she is, ran around and got everything situated for the couples bridal shower, which was at her house.  Everything looked beautiful.  We played games, ate, and drank.  Nice and simple just like I like things.  The bachlorette party did not happen because there was a lack of communication and my bridesmaids did not know the were suppose to pay part of the hotel room fee until it was time to go, I opted not to do it because it was never my intention for them to pay alot of money on a room for only a few hours.  We ended up playing cards and having a good time just being around family.

I forgot to upload pics of the decorations, but FI and I really enjoyed ourselves, I got one piece of lingerie from my cousin, and everyone else gave cash, which I really wasn't expecting. I'm so glad I got to see old friends and family.
