So some of you know Ive been stalking eBay for not only designer maternity jeans but Petunia Picklebottom diaper bags.

Im curious.  Are these bags really worth it? Do they really hold all you need?  Am I being sucked in to baby mania?  I actually have a really cute black patent leather one with cheeta print on the inside I use for weddings that I can totally use as it's intended use, but Im just curious if PB bags are all they're cracked up to be...

What's your pick for a diaper bag?

I have always wanted the Coach diaper bags.... The one that I have wanted for years is on back order.... The only other option is the $650 Coach bag and I really don't want to spend that much.... Everyone that I talk to says that you wind up putting it on the floor and spilling stuff on it so it isn't worth the money.... BUT they are so cute! So we will see :)

Here is my deal... It just so happens that my 2nd cousin is the owner/creator of the Petunia Pickle Bottom bags.  In truth, before I found this out I was planning on getting a regular bag from BRU or Target.  Now part of me would love to get one of the bags.  However, DH has no desire for a bag that looks like a "purse."  So, I have registered for both a messenger bag at BRU and a PPB bag.

Also, when I went to Disneyland recently, I did more looking around at what strollers were popular and what diaper bags people used.  I only saw 3 PPB bags that day.  It could be because they are pricier that people don't get them, who knows.

Oh, and you can become friends with PPB on FB and they run contests and things on FB.  And they let you know when stuff is being added to the outlet before it happens. :)

I was originally going to get a PPB diaper bag but i did hear that the material ones do sometimes snag easily.

Instead I ended up getting this black Juicy Couture Baby bag for (gulp) $300. It was pricey which now i regret spending so much for. It's a bit large but plenty of space for everything.

I think SkipHop has the cutest bags.  We got a messenger one bc it attachs to our stroller and DH refused to carry a purse.  Most of my mom friends say you don't need a fancy one, they end up carrying their purse as well.

they're adorable but my cousin has one that she no longer uses because it started getting fuzzy. the material fuzzes if you rub it around on too much i guess? she's pretty careful with her bags too.. i will probably get a leather one when my time comes or use my louis vuitton 'neverfull'. which can supposedly hold 400lbs according to the sales lady!

I can speak from experience, I recieved a PPB bag from my aunt when I was expecting my daughter.  As much as I loved the coture aspect of it, I found myself using the cheaper one I got more.  I felt guilty taking it out and getting it dirty.  They are beautiful bags, but I say this is the area to be less frugal with.  It does fit everything that you will need for a new little person.

A lot of ladies in my area are now getting into buying the LUG brand of bags.  I think they just came out with a diaper bag line, but many of them have just been buying from their regular line.  They have tons of room, look good and can be used after the need for a diaper bag is gone.  SIL just got one for her new baby.  You can buy various accessories as well like the change pad, etc etc.

Plus, they come in TONS of different styles and colors.
