Julie, I'm thinking that's what we're going to do, except just a reserved sweetheart table for us. :)

we are expecting 130, and arent having a seating chart. its buffet style, so honestly, idc if people stand while eating! our reception is technically from 1-4 (we will be staying all night but i doubt most reletives will) so i know i can get away with it be very informal, which is what i like. i just want to dance, drink, and take pictures. there will be tables all around though, so there are enough seats for everyone to find one if they need to sit down.

We're not doing seating chart. I made a sign that says "As two family become one please pick a seat and not a side" and put that in a picture frame and set it next to the guest book!

We had over 200 people with no seating chart...it worked out just fine. I was unsure, so did a canvass of various family members, they all said it would be fine without one, most hadn't ever been to a wedding with one! Seating charts can be a stressful mess, with that few people I really wouldn't bother!

I wanted to do a seating chart because Martha Stewart is my idle and fairy godmother, lol, but more than half of my guest did not rsvp so I didn't do one.  It worked out great and I was actually really worried about this!

I didn't see the need for our 50 guests.  We had a sweetheart table so the bridal party could sit anywhere.  We had no issues.
