Did Anyone Hire Entertainment?

FI and I are thinking of hiring some performers to entertain the guests during the reception for a short period. We've contacted a promising looking group and their prices are very affordable (est. $300). I was just wondering if anyone else had done this and how the experience was.

Did anyone hire entertainment other than a DJ/Band? If so, what/who did you hire? How was it received by your guests? Did you feel the expense was worth it?

I personally only had a DJ, but I Just wanted to let you know that would be AWESOME if you did hire entertainers ;)

Yeah we only had a band, but I do love the idea of hiring other forms of entertainment!!

We've contacted a local group called Pyrophila. We're thinking of having them breath fire after our kiss at the ceremony and then performing a fire dance during the reception.

We only had a DJ but one year ago we had a big company celebration and their they had magicans and acrobats and I loved it :)
