CEREMONY
I am not nervous at all. While waiting for everything to start, I totally forgot that FI would be waiting back in the same area. I'm pretty sure he saw me, OOPS!!!
I scanned the reception area and it looked SO AWESOME!!!! The bright colors looked amazing. At one point I was second guessing my colors and I'm so so so glad I didn't change them. The girl who did the decorating, did great
in some areas but in some other areas, I was like "WTH" But overall, I was happy.
Now it was time to begin.
FI walked his dad to his seat and then stood at the alter.
Next was my mother, my grandmother, my MOH and my FG.
My turn.
As I was walking down the aisle, so many things were going through my head. I was worried I was walking too fast. I was looking at everyone since I hadn't seen so many of the people in so long. Then I saw FI and he looked so
handsome. I didn't cry. Like I said before, I wasn't nervous. I was so calm. I was trying to take it all in and remember it. The officiant was funny. My daughter did fantastic with her reading. I enjoyed
it so m uch. FI and I were talking a lot to each other. Maybe too much. Sometimes I had to remind myself, Hey we're getting married up here. Also FI was miked up by the videographer, so I'm interested to see that tape
:-/
Another job that FI had that he failed at was giving the officiant his bout. I noticed when I got up there, that he wasn't wearing it. FI just randomly gave it to a guest. REALLY??!!!
After we were pronounced, we walked back up the aisle.
RECEPTION
After taking pictures as a married couple, we were announced. We went around and toasted each table. Then it was time to eat. The food was soooo yummy. We danced and danced and danced. Eventhough I changed into
my wedding flip flops, my feet were still killing me.
One hitch at the reception was that my mother told the DJ to play music for the Money Dance. I DIDN'T WANT A MONEY DANCE!!! I hate money dances. UGH!!! I was soooooo mad at her. And I was mad at the DJ for
listening to her because I told him specifically I didn't want one.
The view was amazing. The uplights looked sad. They didn't "cover" enough. The girl I hired to decorate, didn't turn on all the lights in some of the vases and her helper was lame. She used a pair of the flip flops
from the GUESTS flip flop basket. I saw her in pictures sitting at the ceremony amongst the guests. We are going to have a discussion.
One more thing. After the wedding, my plan was to sell the stuff I bought. Well, FI took it upon himself to give anything and everything away to whoever wanted it. One good thing about that was we didn't have to cart it all
back to the house, but he ruined my plan. Oh well.
Overall, we had such a fantastic time. I want to do it again!!!!!
