Awesome! Now could you break it down for me how you did it please!!! :)

Heres my problem- I really want a black aisle runner, but their super expensive to get custom made. Since I cant find a roll of black runner(like you can the white) not sure what I should do? Such as what kind of fabric to use, and paint since it will be black??? I'm not a DIY person when it comes to fabric, sewing, etc...

Thanks!
HMM :)

Holymolymat...

i bought the the aisle runner from joann fabrics, white muslin, 45 inches wide, 75 ft long (for a garden wedding may need it to be longer for church)

i guess you can go to the fabric store and look at the facrics and tell them it is for an aisle runner

bought water based paint, mine cost 1.00 for a bottle, you could paint it with your wedding colors

went to kinkos to blow up the names

taped the names on the table put the fabric on top of it and traced the letters, i guess yours would be reverse, you would have to trim the letters then trace it with white pencil on the fabric

paint and voila your done

hopefully this helps

That looks great! You can also get aisle runners from save-on-crafts.com and personalize them, may be more economical.

PinayChic: It turned out great! I love the font :) If you weren't so far from California, I'd hire you to do mine!

HolyMoly: The aisle runner is next on my DIY list...Instead of tracing or using a stencil for the monogram, I'm planning to use my FI projector that hooks to the computer/laptop. I will somehow hang/drape the runner on the wall while the projector shines the monogram on it so I can then trace it on to the fabric. I will use acrylic paint. It is the best for fabric...its water based, and flexible when dry. Just look for water-based "fabric paint."

That's an awesome site, Champagne! I might get an aisle runner from them!

While were at it: This company is having a 'sale'
I would make it myself its just hard dealing with wanting it black...
Maybe I'll give it a shot?

Save on Crafts doesn't have black :(
