DIY - Guest book quilt

Do any of you have directions for putting together the squares and such for a guest book quilt?

I want to have the squares sitting up at the card table for people to sign/decorate, but I have a few questions:

- what size of square and how many?

- what type of fabric

- what type of marker and color ink

- what colors did you use (i.e. white with your wedding colors, all your wedding colors, etc.)

We are inviting about 250 people, but obviously won't have a real count until RSVPS are in!

That is adorable! That looks like a quilt made ahead of time that everyone signed...I really want everyone to have their own square that they can do what they would like with, and then we'll put it all together!

guests write a note on a scrap of muslin with a fabric pen. After the wedding, they are all pieced together and quilted as a memento of the big day.
