Hi Ladies!

For those of you who DIY'd your invitations, what kind of adhesive did you use?  I have three layers total:  the backing, invitation mat, and then the actually printed invitation.

Also, what did you use to line up the card stock before gluing?

I wanna get cracking on the suckers, so any help would be much appreciated!

cardsandpockets sells some that you basically paint on with a little brush (they also have it at michaels).  A friend used glue dots and said those worked great.

My sister used roll on permanent glue and it worked great.  It is like double sided tape, so similar to glue dots, but it comes in an easy to use dispenser (like the roll on correction tape).

I'm using both super glue and glue dots (permanent) for mine.  I know Pwani used removable glue dots for her and those are awesome if you need your guests to be able to remove their invitation from the cardpocket.  And the cool thing is you can keep using the removable ones.

I absolutely hated the spray glue -- it gets everywhere and it doesn't stick that well. After a few days, I noticed my invitations were lifting from the mat!!

I recommend the "zots" or double sided tape.

I used the mini glue dots, a box of 300 was $4.00 at hobby lobby.  It made putting the invites together so easy.
