HMM those are wonderful! Hey I am looking for a large stamp like that to emboss areas as well. I bought one from Joanns but it is not large enough. Where did you find your embossing powders as well as your stamps? Did you have a hard time with the powders? My paper is the same so it should turn out similar.

Got EVERYTHING at papersource!  Embossing was easy, just a little time consuming...

They have their stamps in two sizes.  I believe they have the real Damask pattern, but it has more intricate details and its hader to get the powder off sometimes.  I just flicked the paper hard if needed and kept a small paint brush to get any other pieces b/c what ever is left once its heated its stuck...

I only messed up a few.  I MADE myself send a few anyway- half our friends/ family woudln't even notice :)

I love the details.  Two questions...did you do a heat embosser thingy to get the beautiful shimmer? and...is that a Scriptina font?  I LOVE the outcome!  Your a great team:)

Yes, it was Scriptina and Copperplate!

I just got the red glitter embossing powder, so then you just need the appropriate clear ink (not colored) I was originally going to to black, but then changed my mind last minute- but then I would have needed black ink..  Make sense?

So all you do is stamp it, pour powder on, shake it off/ touch it up, and use the heat tool for a few seconds. Thats it!

As for printing everything~ ahhh the stressful part~ We got all teh PRE-cut paper BUT it wasn't running through the printer or just getting all messed up.  S we took EVERYTHING back and just printed on 8.5X11, thus- I needed to cut everything!  I did them over the weekend and got them out by Monday.  Just about a week behind my original plan- but o'well- there out now!

Just let me know when your ready and I'll help! I didn't think I could do it, so it feels good to have them done!

HMM they look great!!!  Would you say the time and effort to make them were worth the savings??  I'm debating whether I want to fully do my own or do a 1/2 DIY sort of thing.

Well I was getting high quotes for pocket fold kind of invites ($300+) so yes, it was worth it to me.  I could have saved even more money by doing something WAY more simple.  We have 2 locations, plus the hotel so I thought this was beneficial to me.  Although in hind site, they are just invitations, so we shouldn't go over board, you know?  It was more the look I was going for & style.  I am happy the way they turned out, and if I can do it ANYONE cane do it :) haha

Also take into consideration how many you need, if you have a 200 person wedding it may take a little longer haha :)

oh geez i have from 180-200 ppl.  hmm maybe i'll half do them?  i am so frickin lazy it's not even funny *hangs head in shame*

but seriously, your look awesome! did FI have the papercutter or did you go buy one?
