How far in advance (other than the initial meeting and booking) should you meet with the DJ to go over music selections? See, ours is a friend of a friend who came highly recommended , but when I saw him in a store last week, he said, "I'll call you when the date get's closer....we've got plenty of time." Maybe I'm being a total OCD freak, but the date is closer....October 11th is not that far away. Am I overreacting? It seems I can do nothing but complain today....lol

our wedding is next April, we booked a couple of mos ago...but i'm definitely one who likes to get things booked WELL in advance....

Oh I already booked him back in March...lol. But he has had ZERO contact with us, and when I tried to talk to him, that's what I got for an answser. I mean, is he going to wait until the friggin day before? Perhaps that's what he meant by closer haha

I always keep in contact with my brides no matter how close or far in advance their wedding is.

My date is 10/11 as well and we've been booked since February. But they don't want the music selections until about two to three weeks before the wedding. Not really much they have to prepare for...they probably have everything digital...

is he your EmCee tooo... I would get everything ready that you want to share with him and call and set an appointment. Hard to say if he was just trying to help you relax by acting as if you have time. Really you do have time, but you may want to take care of this aspect so you can focus on other things. One more thing off the check list kind of preparation.

I wouldn't read too much into it. JUst call and schedule.

Our wedding is october 11th too. We booked our DJ about 3 weeks ago, and meet with him about 2 weeks before the wedding

I booked mine a few months ago during our consultation, and he wanted all the specific details two weeks before the wedding (which I JUST sent one week before haha) Then we have our last meeting over the phone this week (just a few days before our wedding this weekend)... haha I know Im a lagger- just got overwhelmed!!! :)
