DOC To Do List

I am having my sister's sister in law act as our DOC along with my venue's director.  I'm trying to come up with a to do list or checklist to cover her duties at the rehearsal dinner and wedding day.  Anyone found one already made?  What's on your DOC to do list? 

As always, thanks for making my life easier!

Here are some ideas:

_____  Deal with all emergencies that arise

_____  Run the rehearsal

_____  Be sure bridal party is in proper location / order for ceremony, pictures, entrance

_____  Clear out guests from photograph area

_____  Pick up or drop off necessary items

_____            Communicate with vendors who do not show up by timeline

_____            Communicate with vendors to be sure vision / duties are complete

_____  Set up flowers, programs, decorations at ceremony location

_____  Set up flowers, guest book, decorations, centerpieces, etc. at reception location

_____  Ensure all non-bridal party helpers (ie. guest book attendant) are in proper place

_____            Coordinate transportation for bridal party

_____            Coordinate transportation for guests

_____  Be sure all ceremony / reception activities are following the timeline as fits the reception’s flow

_____  Be sure cocktail hour is set-up and ready for guests as they arrive

_____  Pack up food for the bride and groom to eat later in the evening

_____  Save top of cake for bride / groom

_____  Pack gifts up for transport and load in designated area

_____            Coordinate re-packing, loading of all items to go home after reception and ceremony

_____  Pass out items for grand exit

_____            Distribute checks / gratuities to vendors, as needed

_____  Greet all vendors as they arrive and receive any deliveries

_____  Pin boutonnieres and corsages

I am in the process of making our contract and checklist for our DOC... My main one was "keep our moms sane on the day of" lol

Here are some specific ones that mine did for me:

Move floral arrangement from gazebo to sweetheart table

Move aisle decorations to bar

re-pack items

 

Some that I have done:

Coordinate vendor meals / breaks with kitchen staff

Help couple stay on a timeline during table greetings to keep it moving

Set up for slide show

Make sure items are in place for events (ie garter, cake)

Serve as emcee

oh wow, you ladies are quick!  Sanity is of course number one on my list!  I totally see why sweet lovely girls turn into monster bridezilla's.  So many decisions!  And we make them pretty much all on our own.   I don't know what I'd do without you guys!
