just wondering , it all seems overwhelming, and that counting out from your 1st af day an testing for O an then planing on BMS the next month around the same time would be easier

so i guess im asking why did you decided to chart

and what does CD stand for

CD= Cycle Day

I charted for a few months once I got off the pill to make sure I was ovulating, to get a general idea of what day in my cycles ovulation was occuring, and to find out what the length of my luteal phase was. I wound up getting a bit obsessive and stressed about it, so once I knew what my body was doing and what signs to look for, I stopped temping and just checked my CM and used OPK's. I got pregnant the 3rd cycle trying, so I'd say it worked for me :)

I chart.  I have the fertility friend app on my phone.  I set my alarm for the same time everyday.  Once the alarm goes off I grab my thermometer and then record the temp on my phone and the roll over and go back to sleep.  Fertility friend does all the calculations.  Ovulation doesn't happen at the same time every month and OPKs don't tell you if you actually O.

I decided to chart to see exactly what my body is doing every month.  It has made me way less obsessive because I know what is going on with my cycle by my temps.

I chart...it's not a big deal if you don't let it be. Plus, even if I'm not pregnant, I know exactly when AF is coming.

I chart.  My cycles were really wacky after going off of birth control and I didn't ovulate for about 2 or 3 cycles. My cycles are getting more regular but my ovulation day can still vary a little bit. Charting helps to know when ovulation is, how long your luteal phase is, and when to expect AF. I never thought I would get into charting or OPKs, but like jackieg said, its not a big deal at all and its good to know whats going on with your body. I definetely recommend charting; it makes it easier for me so I'm not guessing when ovulation was, how long my cycle will be, when AF should be here. And fertility friend makes it super easy! Good luck :)

NicolenMoe- I thought I was the only one with out a smart phone lol

i do not. but were not TTC yet, I would give it a shot w/o charting for a couple months personally.
