i have had the worst time trying tell my future husband that lavender is not girly

LOL... FI also said the same thing about Plum Purple. Tell him that you at least get one girly color!!!

Haha!! FI was pretty upset about the purple color too...until he realized that our wedding colors were the Rockies baseball team colors, then he started becoming ok with it. What is it with guys?! Since when is a wedding supposed to be "gender neutral"? lol!

Are you having any accent colors with the lavender? I think dark silver would could add some masculinity...like a gun metal color? IDK...just thinking out loud.  

As long as you don't put him in a lavendar suit I don't think he should have a problem :)

tell him it's hyacynth which has more blue in the color than pink. that's what i did. he dosen't even care now lol.

The trick is to rename the color.  Anything beyond what's listed in the basic 8 Crayola box sounds girly to guys.  Also, if you add silver, which goes AWESOME with lavender, call it "Gunmetal grey."  You won't hear a peep ;)
