Does this look better with or without chair covers?

Do you think the room looks better with or without chair covers? In person the chairs don't look so hot and the chair covers look nice, though I'm not sure if I like the white color mixing in with the red.

I personally like it better WITHOUT the chair covers. The white just seems SO stark and I like the modern lines of the chairs themselves. If you want to doll them up, how about just using the sash...like this:

As usual, I agree with Lori. The lines of the chairs are perfect to just add some sashes to up their classiness. The white stands out too much.

I don't know, that white is really white...However those chairs aren't very pretty and as a whole they don't seem to have enough visual weight next to the tables. If you left them uncovered the chairs will seem to disappear. I like Lori's idea, but the sash you have is sheer....can you get a solid fabric for the sash? Or a different color chair covers? Maybe you can incorporate more white into the table settings so the covers won’t pop out as much. If you put a small square white table cloth over the heavily draped red, that might help. It won’t cover all the red on the surface; it would create a diamond shape surrounded by red. Have the white cloth hang over the edge a bit. Or you could get white table runners...but the tables are round so I don't know how that would look...

This doesn't really answer your question... I was consideirng buying chair covers and/or sashes for my chairs, but my mom talked me out of it. The room will be dark and people will be sitting in them, so it would just look nice in our pictures. To me, it wasn't worth it. And ours are much worse than those--navy blue with beige/tan/brown patterned fabric (picture in my bio).

But back to the question, I like the neatly tied sashes of more than a full cover. Are they any other colors that the cover where it is?

Ouch... that white is harsh... I like Lori's idea, like always. I am not a fan of chair covers, but if the chairs are in bad shape, I would look for an ivory cover.

I have to have chair covers...our colors are clover green and yellow...and the chairs they use there are burgundy with metal legs...ugly!!!!! We are going to use white chair covers with green bows...but to help make it less harsh we are using white table clothes with yellow napkins...

I would have to agree with lori....I like the chairs as is and yeah..dress it up with a sash...
