And if so what is it?

I got a faerie on my back at the end of my first year of univeristy. I got it because to me faeries represent magic and supernatural which a lot of ppl believe to be impossible. I got it to remind myself to always believe in the impossible.

I only have one tattoo that really "means" something, after we got engaged my FI and I got XVIII on one side of our ring fingers and II on the other. The 18 is because both of our birthdays are on the 18th (mine Oct his March) and the 2 is for February 2nd the day we got engaged. All of my other tats represent a time in my life but don really mean anything symbolic.

My tattoo is of a love heart with flames coming up behind it and a black bird flying through the centre. It is on my right shoulder blade opposite my heart. It's meaning: My cousin who I was very close to developed a melonoma on her tattoo which was on her right shoulder blade. They didn't catch it in time and she passed away from complications it caused her. The black bird is my cousin watching over me and through to my heart, the love heart is the a symbol of the love I have for my family and friends and flames represent my passion for life and the fire inside me.

My brothers race and we've always been a racing family, so I added their 'autographs' to my tattoo, but after a few years now - we aren't as close as we were and I'm regretting it.

I have hope on my inner left wrist. I got it done after one of my best friends died of cancer.

Yes... both of them do. My first one on the front of my hip is a heart and dove. It represents my love for Jesus Christ. My second one (my tramp stamp) is a cherub angel that represents my Grandmother who is no longer with us... she is my Guardian Angel and I miss her daily! :D

This is sad, but only one of my tattoos has any special meaning. I have DD's name and date of birth with a tiny red heart on my ankle~ I'm sure you can figure out the significance. :) I'm planning on putting all my other children's names/dob's on my ankle too, so it ends up looking like an anklet.

The other tatts, well, there's a theme, I guess (each tatt represents a different style of ink: insect (ladybug), animal (seahorse), flower (you guessed it, flowers and leaves), mythology (faerie).  There's no big meaning about them, except the fact that I liked the enough to put them on my body.

Every tattoo I've ever gotten has been symbolic to me. And some appear very strange to most people..I litterally wear who I am on my right arm down to my fingers. Some are very personal but I'll spew aboutsome of them and maybe post pictures of them when I get home. My finger tat is a "kaplow" "kaboom" star..I got it to represent that I can handle any challenge with ease..Like snapping my finger at it..

I have the word sludgerock it means solid in the middle like  a rock..but always surrounded by sh*t..sludge. haha

4 bumble bees they represent each of my children..remind me to "bee" strong for them..

A jar of peter pan peanut butter..represents myhunger for life and that I never wanna grow up!!!

A trophy with plate on it that says "beat Ana" ..I was diagnosed anorexic when I was 15...obviously I'm not anymore..I won so I gave myself a trophy!

I have a weinersnitzle und beer representing that I grew up in Germany.

A tore up broken armed bear with a blue ribbon on it..Representing that I survived my childhood..yeah that. personal.

A triquetra. Mother. Daughter. Sister. the three continous roles in my lfe....

that's soo not all. No where near it..those are Some of the tats on my forearm. I didn't even make it to my shoulder..haha let alone the legs, other arm, and covered back...

I get somewhat small ones so that I have room to mark moments in my life later on..I will never get one covered..

Most of mine have specific meanings...

Mouse - between shoulder blades - To always stay young at heart.

Rose - thigh - My first and meant independence and the mile mark of turning 18.

Roses and Cross - ankle - Reminds me of my grandma.

Eye of Horus - left side of stomach - Soul Guardian (It was actually placed in the same position that the amulet itself would have been placed in Egyptian mummies.)

Aztec Butterfly - Lower back - My love of Pre-Columbian mythology and culture.

Payboy Bunny - right hip - To remind me to be confident with my body and that no matter what anyone says, I am beautiful. I used to have body confidence issues and this helped to over come what I thought of myself.

Heart with angel wings wrapped around my wrist holding the heart with "Richard" on the inside of wrist where the wings start - bracelet - In memorial of my Uncle who was murdered when I was 13.

my one and currently only, is a crescent moon... it is the symbol of my sorority--and yes it means a lot to me! : )
