Dress insecurity...

So...I've been looking at all the wonderful dresses on here and I'm starting to feel just a little bit insecure about mine...soooooo...help...

Just to give you a feel of what I'm going for with my wedding...we want something joyful and happy and friends and family oriented...a feeling like a big family gathering with food and laughter and celebration....a feeling of warmth and comfort and just want it to feel like home.  Of course, I want romance and love thrown in there too but I'm just not a big center of attention person and I'm really NOT a big center of attention person when it comes to my feelings being put on display...so I just wouldn't be comfortable with a wedding that is uber sexy...

Ok...now that I've made my wedding sound like a family reunion *slaps forehead* here is my dress...this is what it looks like on the website:

And this is what it looks like on me...(I am working on that whole bridal weight loss thing...7 1/2 pounds down so far! :-) )

Anyways...do you guys like it? Hate it? No opinion at all?  What do you think?

Oh, don't think like that.  It's very pretty and you look great in it.  I love how the overlay flares out at the bottom.

I can understand what you mean about dress insecurity - I'm feeling the exact same way right now and am trying to figure out how to appease my insanity anxiety.

In all honesty though, that dress looks SO much better on you than it does on the model! I love the lace detailing on the train - very romantic!

I think it is important that you are comfortable in your dress, you are the one that has to wear it!  Also, you were so excited about it- what exactly is changing your mind?

Don't feel insecure about it...you chose it for a reason..because you loved it...people are different for a reason..some girls may want that whole "sexy" vibe for them at their wedding..others just want a simple pretty wedding...and others want the whole family & friends thing like you.

I think you look absolutely beautiful and should never doubt yourself based on other's choices. Keep your chin up and go with your instinct :).

me personally i don't like the dress...but who cares what anybody thinks..it's your money and your day...every woman has a different style that is what makes us unique...on your wedding day it is not your duty to make everyone happy...make yourself happy...some womene like to show skin for example...some don't...my dress you may think is ugly it is your opinion you know...i say bottom line go with what makes you feel comfortable..you are paying for it and you have to wear it..a lot of women have to try on a million dresses before they find the right one...explore as many options as you can because it is YOUR day to shine like a princess lol

NONE of that has to do with the dress.... just the love of your family on your big day.  just proof that the dress is secondary to the wedding :)
