Well all 4 dresses have arrived today.  Overall I'm quite happy. My main gripe is the fact that there is no net underskirt on my dress, which I was quite shocked at. It only has 2 layers the taffeta and the satin underlayer.  Does anyone know if this is normal or should there be that layer?  The workmanship is good however I was undecided as to have lace and beading or just lace because I'm not a very sparkly person. Anyway I opted for just lace but seeing the beading detail on the flowergirl dress I whish I had it on mine too.  Never mind once the total look is put together I can add a bit of bling with jewellery etc

My flowergirl dress, which is a replica of mine, has 3 layer net underskirt which give it a lot more wieight and structure than my dress.  I'm hoping a petticoat with a train will make it better.

As for the bridesmaids dresses, they are absolutely stunning. The quality is great, just as good an any bridal shop.

Overall, taking into account the total cost (which was just under £500 for all) I think it was worth the gamble.  I got a dress in a style that would have cost me over £1000 and bridesmaid dresses that would have cost at £150 each so I can't complain.  I just hope the petticoat works lol

I will post pics as soon as I can.  I'm taking the dresses to be tried on over the weekend so I will take pics of them being worn.

I'm happy for you sweetie & pls post pictures of all the dresses & esp you in your dress..

As for your dress missing the net underskirt, that's because you didn't order a buit-in underskirt. All the dresses are received that way unless you order it for extra $25 if I remember right.

Anyway, you can order a crinolin from them or on ebay & that will do it for the dress :)

If you have a look at my previous post the pics milly sent me are on there.  I have just returned from taking dresses to my sister but forgot the camera.  The bridesmaids dresses are perfect in quality, fit, everything.  However Im really not happy about the fact that my dress has no net underskirt, it just looks really limp and when I put a hoop under it you can see it thro the fabric.  I have mailed milly to show them the difference in the making of my dress and the flowergirl dress so I shall wait and see what they say.

Take a look at these pics and let me know what you think.

This is the finished dress pic from MillyIf you have a photo 2513819-1

This is the pic of the 2 dresses together, you see how much fuller the small dress is.

If you have a photo 2513819-2

This is the underskirt on the small dress

If you have a photo 2513819-3

Another Im a bit gutted about is the fact that I opted to just have lace with no beading because the detail on the small dress is stunning so I think I have a bit of work to do on my dress lol

My dress also didn't have anything underneath..so...I wound up buying a hoop/crinoline. I'd recommend getting one that has a few layers over the crinoline so that it doesn't show through the dress.

you can always add an all-tulle crinolin without the hoop & that will hold your skirt just fine..

My dress came without a built-in crinny as well & I got a tulle (no hoop) crinny and it look nice, look at the pic

you can always add photo 2513896-1

That looks fab! was so worried.  I never realised it came without the underskirt, nothing was mentioned at all about paying extra or I would have done that.  I shall have to get that asap lol

I also want to get some crystals/beading added to the lace like I had done on the small dress.  any advice on this would be so much appreciated :-) Is it possible to do it myself or will I have to go to a professional?

you have many options on that:

* If you have experience, DIY it, if not, don't ruin your dress. Try practicing on a piece of fabric then on your dress.

* Go to a professional. That might be a bit expensive but you already saved money on the dresses.

* Ask Milly how much more would it cost including shipping to ship it back & they do it for you.

BTW, I had no idea that the dress didn't have an attached underskirt or I would definately ordered one & paid extra. I just knew that from the forums here. A bride, I can't remember her name, mentioned that once here :)

Well, I've done all my own beading and I am sooooo pleased with the way it has turned out. It took me ages and Iv still got a little to finish ... Will post pics soon. I've used drop pearls, aurora sequins and beads, and some foil lined seed beads.  Im glad I did this myself because it has sort of personalised it lol
