any thoughts on last night's performances?

i wasn't really impressed with any of the choreography last night. i really don't like when they try to put together a style of dance with a song that doesn't really fit... like doing a samba to "Sweet Home Alabama" or doing a fox trot to "American Woman." it seriously makes me cringe!

hines ward is still my favorite, but i didn't think his rhumba was his best performance. 

chris jericho has been getting better, but it didn't seem like he actually did much dancing last night. he mostly just posed and walked around cheryl. cheryl danced beautifully though!

romeo was ok, but i wish he wasn't wearing that top hat that was too big for him. it just didn't look right.

petra always looks awkward to me. i'm not sure why the judges praise her so much, but it seems like they overpraise every model that's on the show...

chelsie is talented but she seems so stiff. she needs to let loose more!

kendra's was the worst for me. it reminded me of a child's dance recital performance. kind of a shame that THAT was the 1000th competition performance!

Kirstie-I'm a big fan but I found that whole routine to be sooo awkward

Hines-can't help but love him and his adorable smile!  I do think he is the best dancer of all of them and I'm sorry...but how hilarious was that video when he let one rip?!

Petra-I was ok to see that she went.  I always thought she was so unsteady.  I do love her though with her backround and she is so genuine to me but I wasn't bummed it was her to go.

Chris-how flippin charismatic is he?  I like him a lot but I agree that it was a lot of posing.

Romeo-I started out disliking him.  Didn't like his attitude at all.  Now I adore him.  He seems so much more relaxed on the dance floor as opposed to having a "what are my buddies gonna think of this?" look on his face. 

Chelsie-I liked her at first and now she is staring to annoy me.  Like when she shook her hips during the after dance piece...I was like "nooooo!"

Kendra-oh Kendra Kendra Kendra...I totally get her.  She is soooo insecure.  I think that she says stuff like "I don't care" about elegance cause she seriously thinks she doesn't have it in her.  If she truly let it be known she cared, then she opens herself up to criticism and failure from others.  I really think she is insecure and she hides behind humor to cope.  I can totally relate to that!  I do see a dance recital nowthat you mention it.

Ralph-I am such a fan.  Grew up with the karate kid.  I don't know what he lost from the 1st couple of shows but he needs to find it!

you're totally right about kendra. she is very insecure. i would have thought that louis would be a great influence on her since he was so great with kelly osbourne, but maybe they just don't have the same chemistry.

i love ralph also! but yeah, he seems to have lost something. i also think the judges have been pretty hard on him. hopefully he gets it together next week.
