*exhale* I Placed My Order... (Round 2)

So, I ordered a dress from weddingdressseller on DH Gate a few weeks back. I got it on Friday. I wanted a replica of the Donna Karan dress that Nina Dobrev wore to the Emmy's. Though not an exact replica, they did a great job. The dress is made in a satin material. It is well-boned, lined. I do need to have it taken in at the bust and in the hips, but the dress is gorgeous. It's heavy, well-constructed. You'd never know that it wasn't taken off the rack at a bridal salon. I saw another dress that I had been toggling with wanting (ended up ordering the first style instead), but got to thinking...maybe a reception dress?? I was going to order through the DH Gate company for the second dress, too, but I've been reading this board and hearing so many good things about Dressilyme, I had to try them out. How the other company does their lace-up backs is pretty complex, too, and I guess I want to reach out yet again into the universe and hope that it sends me something awesome. I made some adjustments in my measurements, hoping that will keep me from having to get two dresses altered.

Keep your fingers crossed for me that it arrives and fits perfectly, and there are no issues. :-) I'll post about how this all turns out.

re_be_kah - I don't. I have tossed it over at my grandparent's house for safe-keeping, as our wedding isn't until NEXT October. LOL! When I bust it out again to get the alterations done, I will be sure to post pics when it's complete. :-)

lpurett05 - 14 days?! That's soooo exciting!! My cousin just got married this past Saturday so I'm all in wedding mode. LOL! Bummed I have to wait an entire year and then some. I'm ready to go now! I was her Maid of Honor, and she gets to switch roles with me next time. No more speeches. That was rough. :-)

**Update** Dress has been shipped! :-D

Okay, I have become one of the posters I dislike.

I tried on the dress and it is PERFECT!!!!! I need to only get a bustle put on and have the hem taken up a little bit. I tried to take pictures but I just had my phone with me and for whatever reason the lighting was not cooperating. After several attempts, I gave up.

If anyone is having any concerns about ordering from Dressilyme, put them down and go for it. That's all I can say. My dress is just perfect. It's simple but different and it's going to be just what I wanted for myself on our wedding day!

When I do take it for alterations, many moons from now, I will try to remember to post pics for future brides looking for some direction on this whole Dressilyme versus overpriced bridal store debate. :-)

Congrats on the beautiful dress.

I also decided to go with dressily me. It is so scary waiting to hear whats happening. Buti t only took 18 days for them to send me pictures of the finished product.

I can't wait to get it and try it on too.
