So knowing my dad (an immigrant from Vietnam who is still pretty traditionally Vietnamese/Chinese), I think he would be pretty worried/weirded out about having to do a father-daughter dance. Did anybody have this same situation or skip this altogether?

We were planning on doing one, but didn't b/c we ran out of time.  My dad is a great dancer and he wanted to practice before the actual day, but everyone was busy (he remodeled his house) so we never had the time.  Don't stress too much about it, especially if he feels nervous about it.  We are traditional and not too publicly demonstrative so it didn't feel like something we needed to do.

It's definitely up to you :o) if you want to do one. I want to do one for sure but I know I want to practice with my dad beforehand. I know I'll be so emotional that day!

I didn't have a father/daughter dance b/c I knew my dad wouldn't be comfortable with it. Come to think of it, I don't think I've EVER seen my dad dance!!!!!!!!

I would talk to your dad and see what he's comfortable with.
