FI's todo list?

I have no idea why they think they do so much;-) I will say(so I'm not just bagging on him without appreciating his good qualities) that my FI has listened with interest to every little detail I bring up. If I say, "I need you to look at this" he will. He reads all the emails I sent him about this or that and I think he actually looks at all the sites I send(like photographer, DJ, officiant etc.) because he has thougtful comments about each. He's not just B.S.-ing me. So, he ain't all that bad. I think I'll the guy;-)

My FI has helped out a lot...mostly I supervise his decisions...I went with him and his groomsmen to pick their tuxes, we picked out the cake together, but he went back to finalize payment and make sure the baker knew exactly how we wanted it. He has been good, I suggested the groomsman gift and showed him a website, but he paid for it, and we picked out rings together...So I am proud of him, hes writing his own vows.

He will have to step it up before the wedding..cause starting monday my life is crazy. I start a movie and my days are crazy...12+ hours...with a commute unfortunatly..so he is going to have to make sure everything runs smoothly...I will give him lists of course...

See he does stuff...I just supervise.

ha ha...well at first I suggested to my FI if I should send him a save the date! LOL Everytime I assign him something and he pouts...I just say...nevermind, just save the date and walk away. He's coming around, he did help stuff the envelopes for the STD's...and is now figuring out what he wants his crew to wear. I pretty much just have him write out checks for deposits and stuff, and I do the rest. That seems to work well.

I love my FI dearly, but like most of you he has failed his to do list...

He was in charge of planning the honeymoon...everything else he has just helped me make final decisions...invites and food. He kept stalling and stalling on the HM so I just went to a travel agent and it was done in 24hours. I don't like to nag, but he was just dragging his feet! He did have one defense he got a promotion at work and has been working like 60 hour weeks. And I am home on leave from work so I ultimately have more time then him! But still he had one task...oh he did pick out the flavors of the cake!

He knows I have done all the work and tells me how much he appreciates me for it...I just turn around and ask him for his credit card for everything...it all works out! I am really not upset about it because I like planning everything because certain things matter to me more then him! It will all be all right!

he's pretty much done all i've asked with minimal "supervision"

-picked out cake design
-got all addresses for his side of the fam
-picked out his tux and what his gm will be wearing
-picked out his own wedding band(s) yep he's got 2 to choose from since he couldnt decide; i guess he's just gonna decide the morning of our day
-he even picked my dress for our hawaii wedding
-he's in charge of the music for the reception for our socal wedding

FI's been pretty good about helping. we've met with all of the vendors together and made all our decisions together. he also helped with DIY projects like

- assembling STDs and invitations
- organize/print address labels and manage RSVP responses
- helped with DIY card box project
- be the contact person for our hotel block

he also did random stuff like drop off/pick up my last minute alterations from my incompetent seamstress, accompany me to buy beads for my flower girl bracelets, checked out a bridal expo with me while in HK, etc.

he also initiated and helped plan a surprise bridal shower for me today!!!!

overall, i couldn't have asked for more.
