Hey everyone, I felt inspired this morning lol and I finished up the wording to my invitation.

For those that are new, or haven't been following my planning: This is a photo shoot only, not a wedding. The theme is a couple in love takes a stroll threw a garden when they are approached by a fairy who invites them to a fairy feast in another realm. More in my bio, for those that haven't seen the plans yet ;)

again, this is the logo I designed for the top on the invite. It will be either embossed or flocked with green flocking to look like moss, and will be on either walnut veneer or bich bark.

Hey everyone I felt photo 3430499-1

And now for the wording:

When you read, take a second to pause when you see a comma ;). So what do you think? My only concern, I think, is that is may be too long...but then again, maybe i can make this a scroll...hummmm lol

In the twilight's eve of crescent moon, once every thousand years

A doorway veiled from mortal site, enchantfully appears

One might be inclined to think it, an illusion or a  dream

But it’s as real as real can be, when this unseen sight is seen

An invitation has been sent, for the sweetest fairy feast

And you my two are pure of heart, your love will never cease

For this reason you my two, the true, and pure of heart

Have been chosen as our guests, but you must play your part

I will lead you to a door, you may think impossible to pass

A simple key and special drink, will take you down in mass

But be warned, for our realm, does not abide your world’s rules

Tricksters play a wicked game, and may play you for fools

Heed my words, I say this once, do not trust all you see

Your mortal weakness, your undoing, is curiosity

You have one hour, one alone, and not a sand grain more

To make your way back, to your world, before one thousand seals the door.

I LOVE IT!!! And I love the scroll ideal too! Some may think it long for an invitation but I think it perfect and romantic! I was all caught up in the wording! Lol. You are truly a visionary and I can't wait for your day to come together!

I made scroll invitations a while back. I used a wooden dowel and I bought little wood endcaps. I got those in the Doll house section of Michaels. I also bought fabric and attached the invitation to the fabric with ribbons and rolled it up. I mailed them in the Long jewellery boxes used for bracelets and things also found at michaels. Please not this was expensive to mail and I o[ted to hand-deliver most of them. It was for my daughter's 16th birthday party and she was a fairy.

IdoAgain- that sounds great, I'll check Micheals out to see what they have...but I will probably make the scroll myself using twigs and fabric and maybe silkscreen the wording???not sure yet...I only need the one =) This invite is only a prop in our photo shoot so  its not being mailed out...

Thanks julie!! =o)

I would not change a thing with the wording and wow, I must say that it is beautiful!  I love the idea of rolling it up with twigs - it just fits with your theme! I can't wait to see your photo shoot!!!

I am sorry I had not realized. I was going for the midevil court / fairy vs your woodland fairy.

Instead of Silk Screening try this!

You can print text onto paper using a LASER Jet and then IRON it onto the fabric. That will save you the silk screening issue!!!
