Hey, Ladies!

We are getting married in Arlington Heights.  We're in need of a great, but affordable, florist.

We've gotten quotes from two so far....one is a little more than our actual budget. The other is about $2000 over our $2500 budget!

Any recommendations anyone has would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I'm meeting with Sylvia's next Saturday.  They're off of Arlington Heights road, they're highly recommended on here

I met with Phillip's flowers. I think that location was in Westmont but they have a bunch of different locations. I really liked all of their stuff, and I believe the quote was for about $1200, 1 bridal bouquet, 7 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, 4 corsages, 11 bouts, a toss bouquet...didn't include centerpieces though. Not really sure if that's good or not, but they have an entire warehouse where you can pick the vases, actual flowers, ribbons for bouquets, etc.

UT - Check Jewel!!  No joke :)

FSIL got her bouquets through jewel for cheap and they were great!

My friend is doing my flowers through Jewel.. They are super cheap... They charge you wholesale opposed to by the length of the stem like most florists :)

I second Jewel!  A friend of mine had Jewel do her centerpieces and bouquet and they turned out lovely.  Would never be able to tell they came from there!

I totally agree with Jewel!  The florist at the one in Wheaton is really great!  And you can't beat the price!!!

We actually went with Town & Country.  I really loved Jamie, the florist.  She talked to me for 45 minutes over the phone prior to us meeting.  She made me feel comfortable and made it worth the drive to see her.

Other florists wouldn't give us the time of day prior to showing up at their business.  I had an awful experience at Sylvia's.  They told me nothing I wanted was possible and the man who was working with us never asked what my vision/dream was.  He TOLD me what I wanted for my wedding.  I was surprised, as i've heard great things about them.  But, I quickly decided they were not the florist for me!

Thanks, Ladies!!!

I totally agree with you UTBly07 about Sylvia's.  When I got there I showed him pictures of bouquets I really liked and my dress and he went on to tell me the bouquet I loved was too much texture for my dress and to go with this other vision.  Then he went on about putting different flowers that I didn't like in there and the colors.  He then went on to tell me about my centerpieces were too simple and that I should have them do it and to put orchids on the branches.  He was telling me how to make my bill even higher, not trying to work with my budget.  I was very unhappy with him and booked with Jewel instead.
