so i went in to see my mock today and something felt off about the color.  Im having bold colors, but my colors are often mstaken by vendors as "neon" which is definitly not what i'm going for.

when we saw the mock we expressed that it didn't look very full (centerpieces are suppose to be tall and round) and that it looked a bit too bright, something was off about the colors.  she disnmissed the fullness by saying thats how it looks and she'd there were 40 roses and asked us to go back tommorrow when she has a differnt color of one of the flowers.

I went home and my contract states 60 roses.  I called her to express my concearn and she was very upset and said since i downgraded my overall package and since im not spending as much money as before that she wasn't going to make enough proffit on me.  But i'm still paying what she quoted me for the centerpeice!?  she said she's giving me a great price and that i can go get quotes elsewhere but my wed is only a few weeks away.  she kept telling me how she's not making any profit on me.

now i'm concerned that she will not do a good job on my centerpeices, and those were one of the most important elements...help...what should i do??

Yikes, she sounds like my florist. Always telling me she's not making money on me. UGH..I hate that! Perhaps you can use other types of flowers (that are not as expensive) as fillers so that your centerpieces look fuller with 40 roses. I would also confirm that she is not charging you for 60 roses per your contract.

isn't is unprofessional to tell clients that you're not making money or enough money off of them....or is this what i can expect when i try to finalize everything with my florist?

I think it's unprofessional too, Jackie. We're however going through a family friend, so I guess that's her way of emphasizing that she's giving us a great deal. I just feel like if you're going to give someone a "good deal" just do it and shut up about it. But throw it back in their face.

I am sorry...but I don't think anyone would do something for someone else at "no profit" its just something business owners say to guilt you...if your contract says 60 and you are paying the price you are quoted and thats in the contract then you should get 60 roses...a contract is a contract...IMO

at the end of the conversation she said that she'l do the 60 roses but that i'd have to pay her cash...is this odd???

Yea, she sounds extremely shady to me! Cash? Why would that matter? Unless she is trying to avoid paying taxes. In which, you are obviously getting no benefit from. Have you paid her any deposits?
