Hey! It seems were are in the same situation, 10 years on BC and no period! I've been off BC since Aug and I've tried provera 3 times and I've only spotted on it each time. My doc referred me to an GYN and after a 6 month wait, I finally have an appt June 9. Hopefully I get some answers and a plan as I am beyond frustrated. My doc said I didn't have PCOS and she did do blood work and said my hormones levels were ok. I went to acupuncture for 2 months back in Jan/Feb and he said to gain weight as well, I'm 5 feet too but was 105lbs. I gained almost 10lbs and took all kinds of crazy herbs and it didn't help, but that's just me as I've heard lots of success stories with acu.

Anyway, I would definitely try to press your doc for more answers and get a second opinion if you are not satisfied. I saw 4 docs before one recognized there was an issue with me not getting a period. I wasted so much time trying to get someone to listen to me. Now here I am 10 months later and I still don't know what's going on with my stupid body!!!

I wanted to give you guys an update from my appointment yeterday, we did blood work for (i hope) everything. She gave me provera and i'm supposed to call her in 13 days to let her know what happens, she wants to see if I do bleed or spot or nothing with the provera, then she is going to re-assess what the next step will be.  

Thanks so much Cat, I made an appointment to meet with the accupuncturist, so well see. I asked my Dr about it and she said there was no reason to think it would do anything, but im going to go anyway and see. 

Thanks Amy, Its so frusturating! I just really wish 11 years ago I never got on the pill and we figured out then what the problem was then =( 

Thanks for the update!! Hopefully you will get some answers soon and a plan of action!!!! :)  So I'm assuming she actually tested you for PCOS hormone levels and such?  Keep us posted on the test results!!
