Ladies, I am freaking out!! I've been putting this exam off for months and now have waited til the last moment to take it.  I am volunteering in the classroom with a teacher retiring in December.  The class will be mine if I receive my certificate.  No pressure, right?

I've been studying wtih the REA FTCE Prep guide, but it all just seems so random.  I feel like this type of exam is one you will never "feel" prepared for.

Has anyone else taken the Florida Elementary K-6 exam??  Any tips??  TIA!!

i don't live in florida, but i have taken two of the three required certification exams in NY. just today i took the ATS-W (assessment of teaching skills - written). to prepare, i just took a practice test in a kaplan study guide that was really helpful (it gives explanations for every answer). i found that the questions i got wrong on the practice test were questions that i thought too hard about... if i had gone with my instinct, i would have answered them correctly. so when i took the actual test today, i went with my instinct more. i'm not sure how i did yet, but i felt good at the end of it.

best of luck to you!!!
