Hi ladies,

I posted this in the Spring/Summer baby bumps group, but thought I would check here as well. In addition to the baby's furniture which I knew my mom was buying, for my birthday last week she gfted me my glider/ottoman. She gave me a big check at my shower last weekend but I need help on deciding which one to get. I love the Dutailier's (sp?), but way too much. What are some other good quality, comfortable, reputable brands? Thanks loves! : )

I would look at getting a oversized recliner especially since your hubby is tall!

I loved our glider, but I dont remember what brand it was- we borrowed it from our church and returned it when we moved. I do know, though, that I liked it 1000x more than what I have now, which is a rocking chair. So IMO, go with a glider! They're quiet for when you're rocking baby and they're comfy. :)

Ours is a 'Best' chair. I don't think it really matters as long as its comfy. One tip is to hold something that is 10-15 pounds in both arms and try to sit down and stand up without using your arms - some of them are too low or too soft. Also mine is a recliner but the only way to use the recline function is with your right arm. I always had the baby's head in my right arm so I never could recline when I had to sleep in the chair. If I had to buy another, I would look for one that had the recline function on both sides. I also love my gliding ottoman.

Thanks ladies for your advice! I found a Dutailier on CL for $100! I'm going to check it out after Easter!
