Our lease is up in 7 months so we are trying to decide what location we want to be in. DH just got a job in south Aurora so not too far from there.

I like the Denver Cherry Creek area too. Are there parts of the city that snows more than the rest?

Is Englewood a good part or not? I keep hearing that it isn't.

No-Englewood is GHETTO- well, some parts anyway!  I live in Highlands Ranch- it is suburbia though. :)

The Highlands are nice- just outside of downtown.  Cherry Creek is really nice- when FH and I buy a house, we'll be looking in that area. :)

Haha, when you ask "good places to live in CO".... I DEFINITELY don't think "ooo, Denver!"

hahaha.  Sorry, I'd suggest Northglenn, or highlands ranch, or cherry creek (expensive).  For outside of denver, golden is gorgeous... C. Springs is great (maybe too long of a drive) and of course I'm partial to Ft Collins.  Love it here! :)

Yeah we went to Cherry Creek last week to look for homes. It was a great neighborhood. I think we will narrow our search to there.

I also like south aurora. What do you think of that area? Our dog park is there so we are always in that area.

We live in Parker - we love living there, but the drive/lightrail commute is killing FH (he works downtown)  But if DH is going to be in south Aurora, it might be perfect....

I am not a fan of any part of denver though...

we live in Broomfield, because FI & I work in Boulder. We used to live in Wash Park (Denver) and that ia a really nice part of town. It's right by Cherry Creek, but I must say it's expensive! When I first moved here we lived in "Englewood" but it wasn't where most people think. We lived right off C470 and county line. Now I think that area is Centennial. Have you looked into Centennial? It is kinda a weird city...it's all over the place but parts are right next to Aurora. I grew up in Greenwood Village for the most part, and if you don't mind over-zealous cops that's a really nice part of town.

Cherry Creek is beautiful, but really expensive... We live in the Westminster/Broomfield area and love it here. Plus its a perfect distance from both Denver and Boulder. If your planning on a family, I would look into Louisville. It's got that nice small town feel with out it being too small. If you could swing it, though, do Cherry Creek, I seriously dream of living there!
