Does anyone have any recommendations for places to go in the bay area for bridesmaid dresses that are reasonably priced (<$200)?  I'm looking for black dresses for my bridesmaids for my outdoor wedding.  These are a few styles, we had in mind but open to others:

Have you tried off the rack places? ie Nordstrom, Jcrew, Ann Taylor?

Black is such a staple color, I bet you could find alot of styles in regular stores without having to pay for a "Bridesmaid" dress.

I've been to quite a few places for BM dress shopping - Bella Mia, Unique Bride, Rin's, Trudy's, New Things West (I think they have a new name) and another place in Burlingame - the name escapes me.

The Wedding Party in Berkeley, CA has some nice ones.  They carry Siri, Lynn Lugo, and Wtoo.  Mine were $175 each and silk.  The ladies are great - see the vendor review!

Trudys and Elegant Lace in San Jose have a pretty large selection of bridesmaid dresses.  If you find the style you want, you may want to try calling Debra at Dori Anne Veils in Castro Valley to order it.  She can get a lot of different dresses at a pretty decent discount.  I ordered my MOH dress from her.  She also has some samples there, some that she sells for $50 each and they are pretty much brand new.  We got the MOG dress there and also one of the BM dresses.

I'd recommend Trudy's for trying on and deciding what you want.  Then, order through www.rkbridal.com- you'll save a lot!  I did that and saved about $40 per dress.

I love Jenny Yoo.  I think they carry her dresses at a few places in SF (maybe Flair?).

And I agree that JCrew will probably have something or will have multiple styles in the same material (which I kind of love).

Have you tried Gesinee's Bridal in Concord?  We just went a couple of weeks ago, they have soooo many selections that you can pull off the rack yourself and try on, an entire room full of racks to choose from in every color.  Good luck

Margene's Bridal has some great dresses for under $200 -- it's in Oakland by Lake Merritt https://www.margenesbridal.com/Default.asp  Excellent customer service!!! If you have designer in mind you can call them to see if they carry that line.

Rin's Bridal in San Carlos is also great -- that's where I'm buying my wedding dress!  Ana is great; I called her telling her the style I liked (even gave her the design line).  Although they don't have that particular line, she grabbed a bunch that had the same style and had them ready for me when I got there.

If you find a dress that you like - also try ordering it from Elegant Tailoring in Milpitas. (similar deal to what jjpeng said about the Castro Valley lady). Linh also provides good discounts and is an authorized seller. So maybe check out who has the better deal.

Bay Area Bridals has a lot of samples (BAB is associated w/ New Things West.)

I thought JCrew was pretty $$ and mostly >$200. I think Nordstroms online is a great place for long black dresses in your budget.
