Hi all, Just thought I'd share the pictures I've been sent of my dress, as seeing all of your pictures was so helpful to me.
This was the dress I asked dressily me to make for me (sottero and midgely vsm7080)
I sent them several pictures and they said they were able to make it. Today I received pictures of my finished dress. What do you think?? It's difficult to tell untill you try it on but I'm hopeful. I think it looks fab. Would love to hear some opinions :) xx

It's here!! I actually got it a week or two ago, but have been unable to unpack it to have a look because I had to wait for the other half to go out, and for someone to give me a hand with doing it up! A quick summary: When I received it, I was impressed with the packing. It was not scrunched up or wrapped badly as I have heard in other posts, but folded very neatly in a cloth bag, which was then inside a jiffy bag, and there was no smell. I think they have done a fantastic job. I love all the embroidery and beading and think this has all been done really beautifully. It fits really well, and barely needs any altering (although perhaps a little large in the hips? Not sure yet). Anyhow, enough chatting, here are the photos. I will add some more close ups of the detail later, for the future dress researchers.

Thanks Keyworld :) I love it. I tried it on again today and I love it even more. My mum has pinned in the material on the shoulders, so it fits a little better now, and I've had it pressed, so it hangs better too. Here's a couple of close ups for those interested in the embroidery and beading. |
