I know I know!  We've beat this one to death...but i actually found something cool on theknot this morning! *gasp*

They used pre-stamped, pre-addressed (to them) postcards, so guests could take them and write messages/wishes to them, and then drop them in the mail and the couple would receive them at home later....they were in Hawaii, but i could get CA-themed postcards...do you think people would actually do this??  or would it be a waste of money/postage?

I know I know photo 64850-1

i'd do it totally!  but some people are lazy and dont even send in rsvp - or maybe that's just my fam... so i doubt my fam would do it - i think i'd get more responses from friends...if they remember

that's what i'm thinking....and then how would i "mount" these in a scrapbook...i would want to see both sides...i'm thinking maybe just punch a hole in the corner, and use a binder ring or ribbon....

I think that is a really cute idea.  I know if I saw that at a wedding, I would definitely send mine, but I could also see a lot of people leaving the wedding with them, and just forget to send it.  I guess it just depends on your guests.  Maybe make directions on what you would like them to do, and add how very important it is to you and your FI to have these as momentos???  (with better wording of course)

E- i was thinking, since i already bought a jar for the "wish jar" i could put the postcards in there with framed instructions sitting next to them...

we're having a photobooth too....should i just put out the supplies (book, adhesive, pens) for people to do that?

I would, but people who cannot seem to send RSVPs proabably wouldnt. Plus they might misplace them during the wedding, ride home, blah blah blah. I think it is a cute idea, but I think some people are really lazy.

yep jackie! with good instructions saying, "put your picture here, and write your message/advice next to it!"

That's a cute idea but I don't think people would do it...getting people to RSVP is hard enough. Once the wedding is over, I don't think people will be very inclined to do more wedding stuff. Sorry to be the pessimist! ;)
