I figured I'd ask here since most, if not all, of you will know what I'm going through right now. [Sorry for the lengthy deal.]

The FI decided to transfer to a different station recently. He had been at his old station for 4 years && we are both very close to all the guys && their significant others. The whole station [including the other 2 shifts that work there] know about the wedding && everyone on his old shift have been informally invited [totals up to be 30 people].

So the question is:

What do we do about the peeps at the new station? It's only April && our wedding is in September, so I'm sure that by the time the wedding rolls around, we'll be semi-close to the peeps at the new station. Is it rude to not invite them? We can't really un-invite the old station [I'd NEVER do that anyway!]. If we invite the new station, that's 30 more people added to our already high guest count [250 w/ 160 most likely attending]. My dad almost passed out when I said that we're slightly over our 150 person goal.

help. HELP. HELP!

I understand and we are going through the same thing.  FI handed out STD's to everyone at his station and found out he was transferring the next day.  We talked about it and decided to only invite those he is closer to.  But of course now that we did the transfer was delayed and may not happen!

I would stay keep those form the old station, no you would not want to un-invite anyone, and you are close with them so you would want them with you on your day.  If invitations are out then I would think the guys at the new station would understand.  If anyone said anything (not that I think they would) just be honest with them and say I'm sorry the invitations are out and our guest limit is over.

I have seen a few guys get married over the years and some invite all, some none, and some invite just a few.  It's been my experience they understand.  And honestly they are men so this will go over much easier than we were talking about women!
