Dear ladies, how did you plan your guestlist? Did you do a grooms family on one side and brides family on the other? Did you split the list 50/50? Did you just reserve seating for your parents and grandparents?

Our vow renewal was VERY, VERY small. Originally, it was supposed to be my mom, dad and brother. DH's mom, dad and 2 sisters, but drama came about and that changed. There ended up being sooo much drama with DH's side that he litterally didn't want them there. They still don't know that we renewed our vows last Saturday. Therefore, it was only my family. We wanted the occassion to be very small and intimate. That is why we only wanted the parents and siblings. We just wanted those closet to us. Plus neither of us have any friends.

What about the next renewal that you have planned? Is it going to be bigger?

We only have 20 people on our list, and Im not even sure that many will come since they live so far away.

Which is fine, I would be happy with it just being our kids and our parents.

I guess I should be answering my own questions eh? Well we just threw our together and then decided that 200 was too much!! So we cut out the kids and those people who we really didn't like and didn't want there. Knocked it down to 100..which was still to much. SO we said 60 and if anyone gets upset they can kick rocks with open toe shoes!

amorzathat is freakin' hilarious! Painful, but funny non the less. We are actually having 73 guests at our Renewal. We created our list based on who was closest to us (immediate family- ie parents/grandparents, siblings, children of guests. Closest friends- ie friends we talk to or see on a weekly bases). We didn't split the list between mine and his. We came up with a ballpark number not to go over and went for it. It wasn't about pleasing the masses. It was about who we truly felt supported our love and would be honored to have surrounding us on that auspicious day.

Amorza...lol...No. We were going to invite people, but recently, we just decided to have a private affair. We just want to have a lot of fun this next time around with NO drama. So, it will just be the 3 of us with a lavish affair.
