Everytime I see previews I tear up and I can't wait to see it!  Is it as good as it looks???

I can't, it's not playing here yet.  That's what sucks about living in this good for nothing town (can you tell I'm not a native).  But it's supposed to come out next week and I'm dying to see it.  The sad thing is, I actually knew a girl like this (with an emotionally and physically abusive mom) and that's who I think of when I see the previews.  There was a happy ending for my friend and it looks like there's a happy one for Precious.  

The part where she's like "Your baby loves you, I love you." gets me every time.

I always cry when it shows people insulting her and bringing her down.  She just looks so pitiful and hopeless...but yeah, it looks like she's able to overcome it all.  (I hope).  I hope it comes out soon here too!!!

It's good!  It's horrible, but it's good.  Horrible as in everything this poor girl has to go through and live with.  It has its funny parts, it has its disgusting parts, it has its heart wrenching parts, but it was very good.  

My mom just saw it and basically said what Alatiel stated but in her own words.

This is the movie with Monique in it right?

I keep seeing the previews and think "I need to see that'   but then I remember its got Mariah Carey in it right? 

I can't stand Mariah -  to the point it might ruin the movie for me ...I boycott her

I know!  I keep hearing awesome reviews and I'm like, "but isn't Mariah Carey in it"?  lol

Don't worry ladies, she's barely in it.  And her parts don't ruin it at all, I promise.  I don't like her either.

Should we make a "i don't like Mariah Carey club?"  I'll definitely join!

although..."Glitter" did have high entertainment value--i'd recommend renting it if you want to laugh at how horrible a movie can be!
