:( If it makes you feel any better, I've eaten half a package of cookie dough in the last 2 days! That's, like, 4 billion calories. I feel mildly better that it's all-natural, organic (hahahaha), but I'm still so disappointed in my lack
of self control...
That said, tomorrow is a new day (in fact, this second is a NEW MOMENT) to get back "on the wagon" and start fresh!
The best you can do is make a plan:
- What are you going to eat this week?
- Are you going to do all your shopping ahead of time so you have plenty of healthy eats on hand?
- What are your exercise goals?
- How are you going to get past the challenges and temptation that NEVER go away?
Write this stuff down; consider keeping a weekly journal where you repeatedly answer these four questions. Read it anytime you reach for the ice cream (or whatever your particular weakness happens to be). Or use another method if you know what
works for you. The point is, have a plan. I definitely have a plan to get past the cookie dough binge :)
Figure out what's triggering your lapses in motivation. Start eliminating them one by one. For instance: If it's feeling like you need to eat the same as your FI (as many of us do), stop making the same food for both of you, or eat from a
smaller plate. Stuff like that takes conscious change, and constant vigilance to stay on top of it. Otherwise, your triggers will always get the better of you. But you already know all of this!
Go a little easier on yourself! You can only beat yourself up if you KEEP going backwards instead of forward! And I know you won't, because YOU CAN DO THIS!!
