Has anyone tried this before? I think it's a yoga class in a really hot room. http://www.bikramyogafremont.com. I wanted to take the single class just to try it out and I was thinking about joining the $10 for 10 days.

I did the $10 for 10 days at the Santa Clara location. Before that I tried it for 2 days in San Carlos.

I like it. People noticed my skin- it was glowing and softer. I was more limber. The only reason I stopped after the 10 days is that I have a gym membership which is cheaper.

The room is really hot (I think over 100 degrees). The first couple of times you may have to lie down during parts of the class because it may be too much.

My recommendations, dress minimal (I would wear a tank or sports bra and shorts). Don't eat a meal right before you go. Bring at least 2 bottles of water to drink with you during the class and right after to keep you hydrated.

Let me know how you like it.

Yes, and it is my favorite type of yoga. Definitely tests your strength and flexibility and makes you sweat.
I love steam rooms and am usually cold. Bikram Yoga is great! The intro price is a great deal, too. Rosyw gives good advice about what to take with you.

Hmmm interesting. Does it help you lose weight?

Bikram yoga was really popular a few years ago. I think it still is but I am worried what the room is going to smell like if everyone is sweating so profusely.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I didn't know you can patent a yoga posture? That must be hard to enforce, but I guess word gets around to Mr. Bikram eventually.

I rather work out, do regular yoga or pilate before I step into bikram yoga. My GFs and I tried a 15 day challenge before and we went 3 of the 15 days. There's definitely benefits of it, but the only downfall is that it's extremely hot and people are sweaty (like waterfalls) or a couple of people will fart occassionally. That's a BIG NO for me. =)
