HELP: August vs. October

I personally would totally go with August but that’s because I would rather be to hot than to cold. As a guest you would NEVER catch me outside freezing. I would be inside hanging out where the heat is. But that’s just me.

October however is a gorgeous month to have a wedding. If it was indoors for the whole thing I would be ok with October.

What’s your dress like? Are you ok with covering it for photos if it’s a cold October?

Not an easy decision cause both are so different and both have so many pros and cons.

Good luck hon

I'm not a fan of October I have so many problems with my health when the weather changes. I like August. But if your FI likes October I would have the wedding in October and just have a beautiful fall wedding.

I would say October. August is usually sweltering! I got married in June and it was so darn hot we didn't even want to stay outside to take pictures!

I hate AUGUST. It is hot humid and unpredictable. It ALWAYS RAINs on my birthday. I can never go camping because it is like monsoon season.

I LOVE October. You can have all the beautiful fall colors with their deep rich jewel tones.

The only thing good about August means September is around the corner and then My NEXT favorite month is OCTOBER. It is cool even up here in NH but not freezing. It is great I spend a good bit of october out doors and the Pumpkin fest which my Town won was perfectly perfect weather. Go KEENE!

Anyway, Go with what will make you happy.

hummm, you wouldn't by any chance be having your wedding at the Liberty House? I had my engagement party there =) anywhose...

It's kind of a toss up, August can get hot...really hot, we did have a few heat waves this past August if you remember and I feel that October has been relatively mild and pleasent these past few years, staying in the 60s and 70s mostly, during the day, although we did have a few chilly days as well ...can you have the wedding in September lol?

Why don't you look for a weather website and check out the stats for August and October...go back a few years if you can to get an idea of what the weather may be like during the times your thinking.
