Help: Can decide on colors

I can't decide between purple (deep, eggplant) and silver or with green. The purple and silver makes me worried with it looking like prom. Has anyone else done these colors or have pics of these colors together. I was thinking a mid tone green nothing neon, too light or too dark. The purple I am set on but what to put with it. Thanks

I don't think purple and silver will look like a prom. I think the purple/silver combo would look more elegant and give off more of a formal look. I think the green would be great with a garden, outdoor setting or a more casual event!

I agree that purple and silver can start to look prom-ish if you're not careful. I think deep purple will look lovely with a celedon green or even a light butter yellow or orange... depending on the mood you're going for. If you want colors that pop or if you want simple and classic colors.

You could keep it simple and just go purple and white:

as loing as it's not the light light "flashy" silver - then it wont look like prom...

hula and i are both using aubergine in you weddings...

hula is incorporating it with orange/coral/green

i'm using black and green with aubergine

I love these colors together.  My condo in cincy was all plums and sages!

hehe Kathryn made that purple and white one for me! Purple is a great color, in its plum or lavender form it can be very neutral, as navy is a neutral, so it can be paired with a really bright color like fuschia or apple green.

I love plum for weddings - and i would mix plum, light green (especially orchids if you can afford them) and silver accents.
