I am all but ready to put my order in for my dress; I want to do the custom sizing option. My question is, do the measurements have to be taken by a dress maker or professional seamstress? My best friend helped measure me, but this is my first order and I am super nervous about getting it right. If i have to find a seamstress, this will take more time, which presents a problem, because I want to get the order in ASAP because my wedding date is 03/27/2012, and I with the Chinese new year, I'm worried about delays. I was going to order from David's bridal, but they gave me a headache ugh... Another long story. Any help would be appreciated thanks for reading!

I measured myself and the dress fits perfectly. I had to measured 8 sizes. So it's a lot better that your friend measured than only you (as it was by me) I think a seamstress will get the same measurments as your friend measured. The explantation on the dressilyme site is very good so you can`t make something wrong :)

I would go to a professional. I would be afraid to do it wrong.
