I want peacock blue as the main color in my wedding.  I am having difficulty finding that color in anything ie ribbon, cardstock, linens, tissue paper.  People carry teal jade, or turquoise but not peacock blue.

How did you deal with the lack of peacock blue out there? Did you just go with teal?  Any help would be appreciated.  Links too :)

^ Ribbon

Its a start.

Try scrapbook stores for paper, they usually have endless options of colors.

Sorry I guess that is more tealish.

Try an Indigo or Navy or Royal blue. All of those would be pretty close.

Sorry if I'm not much help.

I had a hard time as well.  My bridesmaids dresses are by Dessy in the Ocean Blue color.  I have not been able to find ribbon that matches, its either too green or too light. Except ribbon with glitter/embellishments which I have seen at Michaels and I found online at GandGwebStore.com.  Midori also has some peacock blue ribbon (check out shades peacock, parrot blue, and hummingbird blue) but it wasnt the exact shade for me plus it is expensive.  So I have purchased ribbon in my accent color.  I did find a satin fabric at JoAnns that matches.  And bazzill offers cardstock that is the closest match to my color bazzillbasics.com.  Also, my linens lady offered a linen in a color close to my bridesmaid dresses in pintuck and crinkled taffeta.

so far we are encountering the same issues. However, bazzzill bling crystall blue cardstock (pearlized) blue teal is my daughters choice. Also, papermart carries 'peacock' tissue paper (perfect match) and tablelinens from www.weddinglinensdirect.com in 'peacock' is awesome. Daughter is very insistent that it is a blue-teal, rather than green. Acrylic craft paint 'metallic blue topaz' is a beautiful blue teal (pearlized). we found perfect matched satin fabric at hobby lobby in 'teal'. Hope our findings work for you.

Thank you all for your help!!  yes i'm looking for a blue- teal.  It's difficult bc some teals can be very blue  and some can look green like jade.  I will check out all the links.

I feel your pain...I LOVE the peacock colors, but it is sooo frustrtaing to get vendors to know exactly which shade you want, and everyone calls it a different name (some say teal, aqua, turquoise, etc) Grrrrrr.....dont even get me started on how difficult it is to find teal metallic cardstock for wedding stationary.

There have been MANY occasions that I wanted to just throw in the towel and stick with "basic colors" but I decided to stick with my peacock colors...when they're done right, they are fantastic! Here's hoping that we all nail it!

I know this thread is well over a year old but I found it while searching google for my own peacock blue ribbon needs so I thought it might be helpful for future people to know what I found.

Morex Ribbon makes a double faced satin ribbon color called Military Blue that matched my color exactly. If you go to the Morex Ribbon website you can see which online vendors carry their ribbon. From there I was able to request samples (some charge for samples and others don't so shop around) and match the color I needed. One other helpful tidbit-- use the Morex color grid (seen in their pdf catalog) on their website for colors. I used a specific ribbon websites color grid and their colors were totally off-- everything appeared darker online than it was in person. I only picked a couple of darker colors after seeing the Morex grid.
