We are having our reception in the back yard of a house which is on the beach in Fl.  We are having action stations for our food service so there will be no plates, napkins or anything on the tables except for our flower arrangements.   - If you look at my bio you will see the types of flowers arrangements we plan to have.

Due to the destination wedding many of our folks will not be able to make it, which opened our budget up to focus a little more on decor.

Choices

1. standard poly tables clothes in Ivory / for the high tops a navy blue - most economical

2. upgrade to  pin tuck table linens. picking a fun color for the high-tops/same fabric - my issue it may be to dressy for the back yard beach wedding.

We are having our photo 923935-1

3. A little more beachy - standard poly linen/ ivory or white but ordering burlap fabric and trying to make table runners.

* I did put this up earlier today on the advice posting - but didn't get much feed back - Any FL brides have any suggestions?

honestly I'm not sure if I would pay extra to upgrade linens. Sure, they do look nice-but depending on the costs I think I would want to save the extra for more  spending money on the honeymoon or something

I think the pin tuck is very pretty! On the other hand, might want to consider sticking with the ivory & navy blue (option 1) and spending the money on something else... like customized favors, other decor, a fun pair of shoes ;)

I like the white and navy--simplicity is good for a beachy theme.  I wouldn't upgrade.

BTW, how are  you going to keep the linens from flying off the tables in the wind before anything is placed on the tables (cups, plates, etc) to weight the linens down?  Sorry, the beach girl in me is coming out.  :)

EDIT:

Just looked on your bio and saw that you are an ATL bride, so you may not know what I mean.  The beach is always windy/breezy.  I would hate for your linens to flap up over your flowers or even knock a couple votives over and cause a scene.  Maybe you could ask whoever you're renting the linens or tables from what they normally do to prevent such things.  GL!
