Hi everyone,

I finished my final school paper but I am having some issues on some of the spacing. Everything is supposed to be double spaced. When I turned in my rough draft the professor said I had too many spaces in some sections. So, I went back to correct them and when I tried to delete the 'extra' space it just deleted back to the line before, like there was no extra space. I just got microsoft word for my computer this year because I have a mac and generally used appleworks but I wasn't able to submit homework online because no one could open the files. It's been a little difficult because microsoft word automatically does stuff which I do not like at all. Anyway, if anyone knows how to fix this spacing issue I'd really appreciate it!

Hard to give this kind of advice without having the document open and I'm really sorry if what I'm about to say is too obvious.....

It might be woth trying

  1. press "ctrl" and "a" to select all
  2. click on the down and right button by paragraph in the tool bar at the top.
  3. "line spacing should be on "double" but make sure that "space" "before"/"after" are both on 0

Hope that makes sense!  (It's for Word 2007.)

Thanks for the help, I already turned in the paper a long time ago. It's okay though because I still got an 'A' on it. :)
