Holy cow! Jillian's NMTZ

So last night went to my Wal-Mart and they had no more "30 Day Shred" DVD's but had both of Jillian's other DVD's.  I decided what the heck - I wanted to try something new for the next workout so I got her "No More Trouble Zones" 'cuz hella yes, I got me some trouble zones.

OMG.  I am shaking as I write this!  I just finished it and while it sure did kick my ass, and every other major muscle group in my body, I feel so good and like if I keep this up, I will be HAWT by my wedding day!

As a review, I loved the pace of it. While she doesn't really stop in between circuits at all, it's not killing me in between but I MUST pause to sip some water because when I get to huffin', it really dries my throat out.

I love that it's not complicated.  I have done a lot of dancing but sometimes learning new combos means I'm not burning calories - just brain cells.

There was one piece of ab work in the first ab circuit where she didn't give a newbie alternate move and I was like, "NO WAY".  I couldn't do it but just engaged my abs with another excercise until I could join in.  Most of the rest of it, she gave alternates.  That's my absolute worst area on my body to me.

I have always had a weak upper body (I love to ride a bike so lower body is less of an issue) and this is amazing for upper body combined with lower.

I'm hopefully going to get her 30 day shred at another store today but wanted to tell others that this one was awesome, too!

WHEW!

Thanks for the review! I want to try this DVD and bfbm too. Did you feel like it was enough cardio? And how long is the work out? Is it 40 min as advertised?

Well, I wouldn't define this as a cardio workout alone - though it did make me huff and puff in two areas:  A lunge section and the part called "Surrenders" OMG.  That was sooooo hard I didn't do them all but I did a bunch.

It was 40 minutes long with a 5 min warm up and short cool down.

I try to alternate cardio and this type of work each day and this was one that I felt really, I don't need to go do any cardio after!  I'm going to go power walk with my dogs but man, it's gonna be tough up those hills after that!

i haven't tried NMTZ yet, but i've been doing her "banish fat boost metabolism" dvd and it is pretty awesome. it's a good 45 mins or so of cardio, but it's a lot of the same moves from level 2 and 3 of the shred so it works your whole body. i am dripping in sweat by the end of it!

The same moves? Really? :( I got kind of bored of 30 day shred and wanted to spice up my work outs with something new

a few of the same moves but a lot of different ones too. I think it's good do BFBM after you've done the shred because you're familiar with some of the moves and can focus on challenging yourself to do the advanced version. but believe me, the new moves will kick your butt! for me, the long format is different enough to give some variety. you should definitely try it!

thanks! I will give it a try. I definitely need to shake up my routine, I am getting bored. And bored means NO GOOD, means luck of motivation and no weight loss

Yeah, I love this video. I have started doing the 'surrenders' while I am at the gym, but upping the intensity by stepping up onto a bench! Killer!
