Has anyone taken on a renovation ( large or small)? I LOOVEE renovating ( probably too much ahah) and have done a few on the house since we moved in about 3 years ago.

that project took my husband and I about 3 months, it was a realllly long process :S but I love the end result!

The project that were still working on is the basement/ laundry room. Its basically done- just a few little thigns left to do ( touch up painting and adding a few decor elements)

We're still on the hunt for some things to really finish the room off.  Firstly I need to piant that cupboard on the wall on the right. I built it to cover up the electrical box and im going to do it the same colour as the wall to help it blend in more. We also need an ottoman and some storage beside the tv. And once we have our wedding pictures back theyre going to be put up on the wall where that vaccum is :)

Ooooh- I love what you've done to the yard, it looks like a totally different space!!

And I love how clean the new couch looks in the basement, and the one purple wall!!

I cannot wait to own a home so we can actually paint something!! :)

I see some fun/funky mirrors on the walls behind your couch.

Awesome job!!  I love home DIY projects...feels rewarding especially since I am so girlie & people cannot believe I have laid hardwood floors!!  Well, I don't have any before pics at work, but we laid hardwood in our entryway, powder room, dining room, kitchen & laundry room.  The entryway & powder room are on concrete, so we had to level out the concrete, lay a subfloor, then lay the hardwood.  I loved using the saw & the nailer...I felt powerful :)  Here is the dining room (baseboards weren't back up yet):

Floors

I have also painted nearly every room in the house :/  We also ripped out a bottom cabinet in the kitchen & added a "built in" wine fridge (it looks so good...you would never know we added it!).

DH also ripped out the old countertop in the powder room & installed this granite & vessel sink.  I had no part in this reno though, besides picking the sink/faucet!!

Sink

Oh...we also ripped out the builder grade mirrors (that they just glue on the wall) in 2 out of 3 bathrooms, repaired the dry wall & put up nice framed mirrors instead.  What a difference it made :)

We also replaced ALL the hardware in our house with satin nickel.  Door knobs, closet hardware, towel racks, door hinges, faucets, bathroom light fixtures...everything!  It was kind of expensive, but made such a difference over the "builder grade" materials.

Your floors look amazing, Mel... and that sink is soooo cool!! And I HATE those glue on mirrors, good call on ripping them out... I really like the new one!
