We had our honeymoon about 9 months after the wedding so we could save a bit longer and make a big trip of it.
Where: We went over to Vegas, road tripped to Colorado, Ohio, NYC and Florida including a week at Disney... (we live in Aust so it's a fair way for us to come) :-)
Budget: Flights, Accomm and spending money came to about $15,000!
How long: 5 weeks and it was incredible..
