my FI and i are trying to decide where to go for our honeymoon....would love somewhere beachy but not sure about the weather in october...isnt it hurricane season for alot of places? We are having trouble even narrowing places down because neither of us have been anywhere. Seriously, we live in CA, both been to Nevada, and i think hes been to New Mexico, but those are the limits of our travels. Any suggestions?

hawaii is good that time of year. or maybe costa rica or someother country in the carribean that isnt in the hurricane path. Like Venezuela or Colombia?

were going to florida, in the gulf of mexico side. my great aunt owns a condo. Seriously, it's always considered hurricane season, but they haven't ever hada problem

Australia! It will be springtime there, and nice and mild. Lots of beach options, whether you go to Sydney or the Great Barrier Reef. We're going to both this September for the honeymoon (woohoo!), when it will be early spring.

Were going to the Caribbean around that time. Our wedding is August 31st, and hurricane season is from June - November, so I figure our odds are less haha We are also getting insurance, its worth it to me when traveling...

we're getting married on 10/11 and we're going to thailand. yes, the flight is more expensive but once you get there, things are cheap! :) well, you CAN go big but even the big is nothing compared to europe or even hawaii. it's one of the only places where the dollar actually works in your favor these days! :)

If you want to go to the Caribbean and want to avoid hurricanes, take a look at Aruba. It's far enough south that it's outside of hurricane alley.

Also look at Hawaii, October isn't supposed to be a busy time for Hawaii, so prices should be good. We're in the middle of planning a week in Maui for the beginning of September and we're finding lots of good deals from Travelocity.com and Cheaptickets.com. Costco travel too!

Try Tahiti! October is still the "dry season" not as much humidity. They rarely have hurricanes and the water is warmer than Hawaii! Here is vacation package from LAX that includes airfare!!
