We're in the process of buying our first house. We are scheduled to close on Aug 14th. Everything is moving along, but I feel like it is taking forever (ok so it's only been 3 weeks but still). I am ready to be in it!

i live in Frisco, where is your new house?  (when we started looking 3 yrs ago....we ended up buying the ONLY house that didn't have any wallpaper in it!! blech!)

ahhh so jealous! The architecture here is so weird and foreign to me, but I LOVE your house! It looks familiar and safe and I too love the kitchen. Learn how to cook! You're going to be a wifie! I'm learning to love the crock-pot because you just throw a whole bunch of crap in there and, at the end of the day, it's a meal!

AHH I figured out why that architecture feels so safe and familiar to me....you're in Dallas!  Well, maybe your new house isn't, but it def reminds me of the neighborhoods where I grew up. (Keller area) :)

Nah I am actually in the Houston area (Pearland). I am from the dallas area (Richardson) and getting married up there.

Jackie, I hate wallpaper! It is so 1990's and has been in like every freaking house we looked at.

Princess, no we currently live together in a 2 bedroom apt.  I am going to try to learn to cook.  I have breakfast and desert down. Working on the rest :)

omg...we looked at some houses that not only had wallpaper floor to ceiling, but also CARPET IN THE BATHROOMS!!!  GROSSSSS!!!!!
