I got my BFP a week ago and I know things i'm feeling (sore breasts, fatigue, nausea) are because I'm pregnant but it still seems so surreal. DH is so excited and so am I but  I keep feeling like someone is going to pop up and go "just kidding".  I"m hoping that after I see the heartbeat it will really sink in. When did it finally seem real you all?

I'm in the same boat, all the symptoms but it doesn't feel "real."  I'm hoping hearing the heartbeat will bring it all home for us too, which DH and I are on the cautious side because of our last pregnancy and are trying to not get too excited right now.

See I think the difference is that I know everything that can happen so I'm kind of cautiously optimistic and DH's response every time I express concern is "everything will be fine". These next 3 weeks until my ultrasound are going to seem like forever. Good thing I work a lot so I can't dwell on it too much. Though i don't know if I'll be able to resist pulling out our portable u/s and checking for myself. That's the bad and good part of working on an OB unit.

Um it didn't feel real for me until they actually handed me my son :) I mean, I know he was in there cause I could feel him moving but still didn't hit me till he was in my arms.

Just try to relax and enjoy the ride!

I think it'll help the first time we see the baby and it looks like one, instead of an "inchworm" like the doctor called it last time haha.

I'm 15 weeks and it still doesn't feel real. I've heart the heartbeat and seen LO move on the U/S and I'm still scared to start shopping or thinking about things in fear that it won't be real...

My boys are 4 and there are still times when I'm amazed that they're really here and mine !!! Lol

I think until you hold that little munchkin in your arms it will always feel surreal, having the ultrasound will definitely help, but it's hard to believe it when there are so many things that could go wrong - I think it's perfectly normal to be cautiously optimistic. Big hugs xxx
